Zombies and the undead are the name of the game in this week’s Back to the Movies as Caleb and Alexandra review Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. After over-saturating the big screen they invaded our TVs, infiltrated our comic books, and and eventually even got their own plush toys. The phenomena that twenty years ago was reserved for horror fans and D&D players has become one of the definitive pieces of house hold pop culture. With no media left to haunt, the only place for them to run to was the pages of English literature.
Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice is a cornerstone of English literature that’s become essential to nearly every high school diploma. Caleb and Alex talk about their experience with the classic along with the troubled production history of the film before delving into the big undead twist.
Does the gimmick bring a fun new angle to the ageless classic, or is this just another zombie cash in better left for the dump? Tune in to hear the official GoodTrash Media verdict.
