My name is Caleb Masters and I am a writer, podcaster and producer who specializes in creating engaging web content and content strategy. I love bringing insightful analysis to the pop culture we all love to talk about which makes content related to film, television, and videogames my favorite to produce.
Since joining Paycom in fall of 2016, I have hosted and produced podcasts full time. For more than seven years, I have produced a wide variety of podcasts in various industries. After producing multiple seasons of my Game of Thrones podcast, The Cast Beyond the Wall, for We Got This Covered and more than sixty weekly film review episodes of the Back To The Movies podcast at GoodTrash Media, I joined Paycom’s marketing team as a Webinar and Podcast Producer where I launched the HR Break Room podcast in January 2017. Since our launch, we have established ourselves as leaders in the HR podcast space by bringing in more than 145,000 downloads and an estimated five hundred subscribers over our first 67 episodes. As its host, I have interviewed guests such as bestselling author John C. Maxwell, FBI Academy instructor Larry Barton and Miami Dolphins safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. In the role, I have led ongoing podcast, webinar and blog content guest influencer pipeline development, and hosted and produced live podcast recordings for the show floor at conferences and events including SXSW and the annual SHRM expos. I continue to serve as the host and producer for each episode. Additionally, I serve as the host and producer of the multi-segment Cinematropolis monthly podcast, The Cinematic Schematic.
In addition to my career as a podcast host & producer, I have eight-plus years of experience as a film critic. More than a hundred of my film critiques have been published in multiple outlets including three local Oklahoma print publications such as my freelance contributions to the Oklahoma Gazette and Staff Entertainment work for The Moore Monthly / TheMooreDaily.com. Additionally, I have previously served as a regular film critic and TV recapper for Renegade Cinema with my written work most recently being featured on the pop culture mega-website Screen Rant and my own web-venture with Planet Thunder Productions, The Cinematropolis. I am also an active member of the Oklahoma Film Critics Circle.
My expertise as a podcaster has been cited in The SHRM Blog (in 2018 and 2019), the Paycom blog, and Ackerman McQueen Insights. In 2018, I was named one of Oklahoma Next Gen’s 30 Under 30 in the Media, Public Relations, Marketing, and Advertising category.
I’ve worked as a Video Producer both full-time and freelance with clients including The City of Moore and The Last Frontier Council in my previous role at Trifecta Communications. More related to my passion for entertainment, I rebranded a movie review series titled “Cinemaniacs” for The Moore Daily in the fall of 2013. I wrote, produced, and co-hosted each part of the 16 episode web-series.
